The tractor for this week is Scale Models Ford GT-95.
According to Tractordata.com, the GT95 was introduced in 1992 and came equipped with a 20 hp Kohler engine. Shifting was made easy with a hydrostatic transmission. Cutting the yard was made quick with up to a 48" mower deck available.
According to the self written Collectors Guide, Scale Models of Dyersville, Iowa introduced this 1/16 model in 1992, the year the 1/1 version was first built. The one shown in the pictures is from 1995. The steering wheel turns the front wheels, the body is all diecast and the plastic deck actually has 3 'blades' on the underside.
Like a great many other Scale Model toys in my collection, I purchased this Ford at the Farm Pride Case/New Holland dealership in Mattoon, IL. This item was purchased this past summer/early fall for under $15.
