Tractor of the Week

The Case International 5120 by ERTL is this week's tractor.

A turbo chared 4 banger diesel provided 88 engine horsepower when synced up with one of three transmissions, among them was a synchronized one with 16 forward and 12 reverse gears. It was available in both 4x2 and 4x4 configurations and options also included an open version w/out the cab.

This was purchased at a recent farm toy show in the winter of 2010 for $3. It was still new in the package, but the blister had seen far better days. ERTL was still finding their way in small scale in the early 90s as the wheels are all plastic which limits realism to an extent. ERTL would continue to use this casting up into the late 90s after it's initial introductiont that coincided with the 1/1 version.
